Cricket Betting Exchange: Back and Lay

Quick Summary

  • An exchange lets users bet against each other, not the house.
  • Back means betting an outcome happens; lay means betting it will not.
  • Commission is usually taken on net winnings.
  • We did not confirm an exchange at BDBAJEE; check its sports page.
  • 18+ only
  • Independent guide
  • Checked 7 Nov 2026
  • Know your limit

A betting exchange swaps the usual bookmaker for a marketplace where users offer and take prices from one another. You can back a team to win or lay it, meaning you act as the bookmaker. It is an interesting model and an easy way to lose more than you meant to. We did not record cricket markets when we checked BDBAJEE on 7 November 2026, so read its sports page on its own site or app.

Back and lay in plain terms

If you back an outcome you win when it happens, as in a normal bet. If you lay it, you win when it does not happen, and you accept someone else's stake. When you lay, your risk is larger than your stake: you pay out at the odds if the outcome comes through.

For example, laying at decimal odds of 3.00 with a stake of ৳100 from the other side risks ৳200 of liability. This is an invented example, not a BDBAJEE price.

Commission and liquidity

Exchanges usually take a commission on net winnings in a market, rather than building a margin into the price. Liquidity is the amount of money waiting on each price. In a thin market your bet may be partly matched or not at all, and the price you want may vanish.

  • Back: bet that an outcome happens.
  • Lay: bet that it does not.
  • Liability: what you pay if a lay loses.
  • Liquidity: how much money is available at a price.

Why caution is needed

Lay bets on long odds can cost many times your stake. Exchanges also attract people selling "exchange accounts" through chat apps. If someone offers you an account on a third-party exchange, read our warnings in fake agent scams before sending money. We did not confirm an exchange on BDBAJEE.

Check before you assume

Open BDBAJEE yourself and look for an exchange section. If none is listed, the feature is not available, and no outside seller can add it to your account. For basics, see cricket odds and the cricket betting hub.

Questions to ask before using one

Ask who holds your money, how commission is charged, what happens to unmatched bets and how a market is settled if play is interrupted. All of that sits in the exchange's own rules. Read them on BDBAJEE itself if the feature exists, not in a chat message.

If you cannot find clear rules, do not stake. Missing rules are not a sign of a simple product.

Whatever you decide, remember that BDBAJEE's own pages are the source for current markets, limits and rules. Read them there, and come back to our guides for the general picture. If the numbers on the screen feel unclear, wait until they do before you stake anything at all.

Your questions

Is an exchange better than a bookmaker?

Not automatically. Prices can be better, but commission, thin markets and larger liabilities can offset that.

What is liability?

It is the amount you could owe if a lay bet loses. It can be many times your stake on long odds.

Does BDBAJEE have an exchange?

We did not confirm that on 7 November 2026. Look at its sports menu yourself.

Can someone sell me an exchange account?

Be very careful. Account sales through chat apps are a common scam pattern.

Set a budget before you start and stop when it stops being fun. Any bet can lose. Responsible gaming
